Anthony and Emilie are a married dance duo who have been dance partners for over 10 years and began Outcasts Dance Complex in October of 2024.
Individually, both have performed and danced for their entire lives (Anthony beginning at the age of 3, and Emilie beginning at the age of 4), and met when they were in the same hip-hop company in high school. They have both trained in multiple styles and with multiple teachers throughout the years, including those at Repertory Dance Theater (where Anthony discovered his love of dance and was trained as a classical ballet dancer), as well as places such as Broadway Dance Center in NYC.
After the abrupt closure of their home studio where they were co-directors of the hip-hop program for 8 years, they decided to create their own studio in the hopes that it would become a safe haven for all young dancers to not only discover and grow in their art, but to also do it in an encouraging and loving environment at the direction of qualified and uplifting instructors.
The belief that dance is for everyone and can provide others with a positive and impactful outlet, as well as the desire to share their art with the next generation of dancers in a positive way, is what drives them in all of their ventures.
Mrs. Bailee started dance at 3 years old. She learned under the mentorship of Tracy Soper, Elizabeth Fink, and Tina Travers. She discovered her love of teaching as a teacher assistant at her childhood studio in North East, MD, where she still guest teaches and choreographs for their “Daddy Daughter” dances and opening recital production pieces. Mrs. Bailee has previously taught at Andrea’s Academy of Dance as their technical instructor and cheorographer for their competition team and recreational classes, and at Mid Atlantic Ballet as a resident instructor for 5 years. She loves teaching all ages and her favorite moments are celebrating with students as they master new steps.
